Celebration of Life planned for Saturday July 12th, 2025

My sisters and I have booked the University Club at the University of Waterloo for Saturday July 12th, 2025, for Mum's Celebration of Life. We will have food, musical performances, and tributes to our mother. We invite family from far and near to come join us in person, or online via the planned livestream. The next day, Sunday July 13th, there will be a Catholic Mass at St. Michael's Church, followed by the interment of the ashes at Parkview Cemetery. My sisters and our families will be in Waterloo from July 11-15. Stay tuned for more details. If you do plan to join us, please send me an email at: kenrajleslie@gmail.com.

Interview with Dr. Josephine Naidoo from 2018

Tomorrow would have been my mother's 93rd birthday. She was famously born on a leap day, and so we celebrated her "real" birthday every four years. She passed last year on October 24, 2024. And, after she retired from Wilfrid Laurier University, she was interviewed back in 2018 by IACCP - the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology, where she recounted some of the events of her life, and her interest in race relations and overcoming racism. The interview is captured in a short 25 minute video that you can view here:
